If you plan on being a hockey coach this season, you must attend this clinic! If you are not sure if you will be a coach this season, but have an interest, this is a must! It is free to all Altoona and Eau Claire association members. For coaches outside of the Altoona and Eau Claire associations, there will be a $10 fee.
Bring your skates and stick, there will be on-ice and off-ice sessions. Plan to spend the evening learning how to get the most out of your season. Our goal is to enhance our associations by giving our coaches some valuable education from top professionals. Topics include: practice format, drill session for multi tasking, how to be a better communicator, offensive tactics, defensive tactics and raising the bar for the bottom players.
Two well-respected and accomplished coaches, Troy Ward and Luke Strand will be teaching our clinic.
“I have taken part in Troy’s camps, and attended last years Coaches Clinic in Altoona, both Luke and Troy have a great way of teaching.” - Mike Ohren.
“This will not be a 'standard coaches re-certification clinic'. If this clinic is anything like last year, come with an open mind and be ready to learn some new ideas about coaching hockey.” - Kent McDaniel
Please RSVP to coaches@altoonahockey.com. We will meet in the O’Brien lobby. Please sign in when you arrive. If you are outside of the Altoona and Eau Claire associations, please make your check payable to Altoona Youth Hockey. ($10 per coach) See you there.
